A Vacancy at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.
General Adult Consultant in the Rotherham Community Mental Health Team.
The successful applicant will be one of two full time consultants providing day to day medical support to the North Community Team in Rotherham. The base for this team is Ferham Clinic (North) in Rotherham with easy access to the M1 motorway and 20 minutes commute from Sheffield
1. To work with other members of the Community Mental Health Team to provide a comprehensive service to the patients under the care of the team. This will involve formulation, care planning, medication management, diagnostic review and medical support to other clinicians.
2. To work in collaboration with the team manager to ensure an excellent level of care for patients there, this will involve weekly MDT for the purpose of reviewing referrals, medication management, oversight of holistic treatment plan and future care/discharge planning.
3. To work closely with the team manager to ensure the proper functioning of the team and that high standards of clinical care are maintained, this will be via regular business planning meetings.
4. To provide clinical supervision for the staff on the teams where necessary.
5. To work with other Consultant Adult Psychiatrists within Rotherham to provide a comprehensive service to the population in Rotherham.
6. To work with the Care Group Medical Director, Care Group Nurse Director, Care Group Director of Psychological Therapies and Care Group Director in the forward planning and further development of these Services within the Trust.
7. To participate in the consultant appraisal process within the Trust.
8. To take part in the 1:20 consultant on-call rota within the Rotherham Mental Health Service. The intensity banding is currently 3%.
