The Role
Join a team recognised for its significant expertise in high-value and complex litigation and arbitration in construction. You will gain exposure to an excellent standard of work across a myriad of sectors including a range of innovative energy technologies, infrastructure, utilities, healthcare, engineering, commercial developments, PFI/PPP, transport and much more. Key elements of the role will include:
1. Apply excellent legal skills to analyse and solve issues in a pragmatic way
2. Advising clients on contractual obligations and disputes
3. Experience of large-scale court actions
4. Providing pre-dispute advice, assessing the strength of position and undertaking dispute avoidance activity including arbitration, mediation and adjudication
5. Advising on project continuity and documenting settlements and agreements
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Is a qualified solicitor with 3+ years construction law and litigation experience
2. Is technically strong with up-to-date legal knowledge
3. Can manage a varied caseload and work with a range of clients
4. Has excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and clients alike
5. Is commercially aware and knowledgeable about the current construction law landscape
