Role Overview:
As a Service Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting service operations for highly technical packaging machinery. This position is a fantastic opportunity to build strong relationships with customers, resolve complex technical issues, and continuously grow your engineering expertise.
Role Responsibilities:
* Provide expert technical support to customers and field engineers across the UK and globally
* Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on packaging machines (both mechanical and control system-based)
* Maintain technical documentation and support training activities for customers and internal teams

Required Skills:
* Strong problem-solving skills in a technical/mechanical engineering setting
* Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Confident communication skills with a customer-centric approach
Desired Skills:
* Experience with PLCs (especially Allen-Bradley)
* Exposure to servo drives and motion control systems
* Technical report writing and documentation
Experience:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical support or field engineering role
* Experience within the packaging, automation, or machinery industry preferred
