Job Title Head of Production Department Operations Reporting to Managing Director Role Purpose Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for overall managing the site operations at multiple sites. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the factories making sure H&S, environmental, food safety & quality are maintained. Driving performance measures and service to our teams. And delighting our customers Key Accountabilities Delivery Performance Measures Health and Safety Ensure H&S standards are adhered to whilst complying with the company H&S policies This will be measured through accident and near miss statistics. Quality standards Sites maintain good food safety and hygiene. Customer/internal audits and maintaining BRC Staff Development and Training Ensuring all people within your team meet the required training required to do their role and are being developed to progress within the company Training matrix and Through effectives 1-2-1’s, appraisals and development plans Product Standards Ensure that all products meet the customer expectations This will be measured through quality checks, taste panels and customer comments. Administration Supporting and leading supply chain, planning, logistics functions within the group Through performance measures in place and cost saving, and service levels KPI Management Sites performance measures, reporting weekly/monthly numbers to the SLT and board. This will be measured through the monthly/weekly kpi’s performance Engineering Maintaining good control of budget costs. Equipment availability and site safety. Project lead Standards are met or exceeded. Variances are analysed and understood with demonstrated improvements in reducing downtime Decision Making Authority Budget controls for site and operations team. Part of the SLT for the group Team Objective Setting In line with the overall business objectives Sites KPI’s and performance Owner of the H&S process and accountable for safety at sites Quality and food safety Supply chain, Planning, Engineering, Logistics and HR Knowledge, skills and expertise Required FMCG experience HACCP level 3 Good understanding of H&S and people management BRC Certification/Audit Experience Desirable Site Operational Experience Supply chain Experience Project Experience
