RSPB Stour Estuary reserve is looking for a part-time (22.5hrs) Administrator to join the Team to provide administrative support for the Site Manager and reserve/visitor operations. This position would largely be office-based at Stour Estuary office but with flexibility for some home working. This is a role with a flexible working pattern. This is a varied role, dealing with everything from helping co-ordinate reserve logistics, paying bills, dealing with cash and other income/expenditure, to ensuring the reserve administrative and recording procedures are carried out. Duties include financial processing, procurement and managing information. You will be organised and able to prioritise your workload effectively to deliver timely solutions; a team player and able to pay attention to detail whilst taking a flexible approach to your work. This role can be fast-paced and reactive, so being well organised, efficient, and adaptable are key skills. Please describe how you meet the following essential qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience in your application: Essential skills, knowledge and experience: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to apply those skills successfully and sensitively in our varied reserve team of staff and volunteers. Experience of providing administrative support. Experience of financial processing. Competent user of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, SharePoint, Word & Excel), together with previous experience of other administrative online platforms. Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, whether by phone, email or in person. Able to proactively identify and solve problems. Calm & efficient approach with the ability to work under pressure and the ability to prioritise conflicting demands on time. Desirable skills, knowledge and experience: Data entry & information management experience. Interest in conservation and the natural world. Experience of working with volunteers. Awareness of Health & Safety practices relevant to an office environment.
