Requirements:
1. Must hold a valid Washington State license to practice occupational therapy.
2. Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master's or Doctorate).
3. Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
4. Knowledge of fine motor development, sensory processing, and adaptive tools.
5. Familiarity with developing therapy plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
7. Ability to document therapy sessions, progress, and evaluations accurately.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct assessments of students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily functional abilities, including written reports.
2. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans as part of students' IEPs.
3. Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students based on their needs and IEP goals.
4. Collaborate with educators, parents, and IEP teams to integrate therapy into the classroom and home settings.
5. Recommend and train on the use of adaptive tools and equipment to enhance student success.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and student progress, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations.
7. Participate in IEP meetings to provide insights on student progress and recommendations for services.
8. Support and train school staff on therapy-related strategies and best practices.
9. Ensure confidentiality in all communication and documentation related to therapy services.
