We are currently recruiting for a Senior Authorising Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Engineering team within our Service Operations segment.
In this role, you will apply problem-solving expertise within your field to enhance service quality while acting as a strategic interface between the Sodexo Hard FM Platform, internal operating segments, and external clients. As a leader and subject matter expert, you will represent functional accountabilities and oversee the development and maintenance of standards, processes, systems, and tools, ensuring they remain current, effective, and aligned with industry regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with great attention to detail. You will be a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with a friendly and personable approach. You will communicate effectively with people at all levels including stakeholders, clients, and suppliers. This role will be suitable for an incorporated engineer with mechanical bias.
You will be expected to travel extensively across all sites within your area of responsibility; therefore, you must be flexible.

Key Responsibilities
* Audit compliance of contracts in UK&I with statutory regulations, legislation, and best practice in the field of expertise.
* Communicate updates to statutory regulations, legislation, and best practice with stakeholders in your field of expertise.
* Build professional relationships with all stakeholders, delivering effective communication including technical advice within your field of expertise, and contributing with formal or ad-hoc reporting as appropriate.
* Train, coach, and assess others' competency within your field of expertise.
* Functional Line Management of individuals in segments for specific Safety/SME role.
The Ideal Candidate
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
* NEBOSH or IOSH Level 3 qualified.
* Previous experience of Gas Safe, Commercial & Domestic Gas Systems.
* Previous experience of working with Pressure Systems & Refrigerant Gas.
* Good IT skills using Microsoft Office applications.
* Engineering competence with NVQ level 5 or equivalent qualifications.
