Due to expansion and business growth, Hitachi Energy is hiring a Sales and Tendering Engineer to manage the entire service portfolio for Transformer Service across the UK and Ireland, aiming to maximize market potential.
You will visit potential clients to secure business, define scope of works, prepare costings, and engage regularly with new and existing customers, as well as our wider business. Internally, you will collaborate with Market Managers, tendering, operations, and technical teams. Externally, you will understand customer requirements to create compelling, innovative product value propositions.
You will thrive on achieving business targets by growing new customers and expanding market segments through your market intelligence and insights. Your interpersonal skills will strengthen business relationships, and as a confident, articulate communicator, you will be a great ambassador for our brand.

About the Role:
1. Drive Transformer business through sales and tendering.
2. Implement local product marketing strategies.
3. Visit potential clients to present offerings, define client requirements, and tender for defined scopes.
4. Participate in market analysis with the Sales team, responsible for forecasts and detailed business/marketing plans for assigned areas.
5. Achieve business targets through regular review of sales and tendering activities, implementing improvement plans as needed.
6. Understand Customer Service principles and their impact on the business.
7. Ensure compliance with Quality Management System, Safety Procedures, and Financial Policies.
8. Uphold core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
Your Background:
* A Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or related field. At least 2 years of experience in Sales and/or tendering.
* Preferably from a Power Engineering background with a focus on service and after-sales.
* Passionate about sales in a technical environment, familiar with prospecting and closing deals.
* Experience with sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
* Willing to travel and interact frequently with customers within the UK and Ireland.
* A solutions-oriented, collaborative approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
