The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
About the role:
The Power, Process and Nuclear Division of the Energy Unit is looking to appoint a Technical Administrator to support the administration of large multi-discipline projects in our Nuclear and/or Defence sectors.
Our portfolio of work continues to grow and we have a number of opportunities in the pipeline which offer exciting roles and responsibilities. This role will support the growth of the existing teams as part of our expansion plans. You will be working with Resource Managers, Project Managers, Discipline Leads and others to help administer and track significant volumes of information on large projects. You may have to liaise with partner organisations and organise and present internal meetings with Senior Project Leadership.
Typical responsibilities subject to project or client requirements:
* Providing technical delivery support to designated project(s) or programme(s) of work, subject to the specific requirements of the individual programme, you’ll produce, develop, facilitate, coordinate and monitor a range of programme support schedules and administration across the project lifecycle.
* Maintain resource, training and SQEP registers on a daily basis.
* Arrange and minute meetings between internal stakeholders both on MS Teams and in-person. Deputise for programme support leads in chairing meetings where required.
* Assist in the sourcing from within the company or recruitment of external resource for the programmes.
* Arrange and facilitate programme onboarding including liaison with IT, Security Vetting, HR, Training etc.
* Undertake document control activities including the upload and download of deliverables to client document and information management systems or internal SharePoint system.
* Liaise with other programme support functions such as Project Controls, Social Value Team and Digital Support in the administration of the projects and programmes.
* Establish areas of administrative process improvements and implement these enhancements to increase output.
* Collaborate with other Technical Administrators to create a community where knowledge and processes sharing is encouraged.
In order to undertake these duties, it is anticipated that you will have demonstrable experience of working on multi-disciplinary projects and be accustomed to working in collaborative teams. You will also be able to show strong IT skills and organisational strengths to complement working with diverse groups of people.
