Main purpose of the role We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior IT Project Manager to join us, based from our Head Office in Doncaster with agile/hybrid working. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing delivery of major projects and mentoring and managing other project delivery team members within the function. This is a fixed term contract opportunity for circa 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave. The postholder will facilitate major project steering boards with senior stakeholders from across the company, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with the governance requirements. They will ensure that appropriate escalation and risk reporting is in place and hold budget management responsibility of project budgets as set by the Head of Projects/IT Director. This role will involve direct line management of team members to ensure project delivery expectations are met, leading an engaged team and assisting them with their development by enabling and motivating them to be the best they can. The ideal candidate will be IPM, PMI or APM qualified and have a minimum of five years experience running large system and business change projects and experience managing multiple projects in parallel. They will also have the ability to plan from L0 to L2 milestone delivery level whilst running and facilitating delivery workshops/reviews. They will be collaborative with the ability to manage senior stakeholders with excellent communication skills.The successful candidate will be creative and able to problem solve and take full ownership of multiple projects.
