This role will be based in our Bridgwater, Head Office Depot. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday- Friday and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £26,750.00 per annum. The Credit Controller: To ensure timely settlement of debts owed by customers. What you’ll be doing as our Credit Controller. Key Responsibilities: Dealing with and recording monies received Reporting on bank balances. Keeping customers within agreed terms – for both receipt of monies and credit limits if imposed. Monitoring and reporting on customer accounts to others in the company. Helping to resolve account issues by working with other departments in the company and the customer. Dealing with overdue accounts and associated paperwork for any legal matters. Working with Sales to open new credit accounts. Working with Accounts Payable to agree contra deductions. Working with Risk where claims have been deducted by customers Dealing with all calls and correspondence relating to credit control matters. Maintain company-wide accounting systems and ensures that associated records are updated and maintained in accordance with company retention procedures and data protection requirements. What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Credit Controller? History of working in credit control / accounts environment. (desirable) to have a recognised credit control qualification Qualified to level 3 Accounts Technician standard or equivalent IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data Proven experience in a people facing role What skills are we looking for in our Credit Controller? Ability to use initiative and to be so organised that key tasks can be completed fully and on time. Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines Proven verbal and written communication skills Proven arithmetic skills Should be happy working with a team Should be capable of remaining calm under pressure and be able to deal with difficult customer conversations.
