Job Description:
Care Team Leader - Nights
Hours of work: 36 hours per week - 12 hour shifts
At Runwood Homes, we are proud of our reputation as a leading care home operator, providing compassionate, person-centred care to older people, including those living with dementia.
It takes a truly special person, with inspirational passion and a kind nature to make a real difference to the lives of others. Our skilled and motivated teams are dedicated to ensuring continuous delivery of excellent residential care services.
Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own rich life histories and stories. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to give your time and attention to them.
As a Care Team Leader with Runwood Homes, professionalism, kindness, and compassion will be at the core of everything you do. Your role will involve planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence.
You will get to know residents and their families, helping to ensure personalized care is delivered.
Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will influence the team positively and be responsible for maintaining high standards of care. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and effective communication with colleagues.
You will also assist the Home Manager and Deputy Manager, providing physical and mental care, administering medication, and conducting medication audits.
Ideally, you will have an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, experience in person-centred care planning, and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. Leadership experience in delivering care is also desirable. A positive energy, natural ability to connect with others, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues alike.
Experience / Qualification:
* Experience preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care preferred or willingness to achieve this.
* Comprehensive induction and ongoing paid training to develop your career.
