Project Weight Engineer will have extensive experience in weight management, CoG analysis, and offshore project execution, ensuring that all project phases are managed efficiently and in alignment with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage weight control plans, reports, and CoG calculations for offshore projects.Track and control weight throughout all project phases.Work with engineering teams to optimise weight and stay within design limits.Provide technical advice on weight issues and offer solutions to reduce risks.Conduct weight impact assessments for project changes and keep documentation current.Support teams with weight surveys and audits for offshore structures.Use weight management tools to track trends and report findings.Ensure compliance with industry standards like ISO, API, and DNV.Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are well-supported and resourced.Drive team improvements in efficiency, competence, and experience.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Deliver project designs and engineering on time and within budget.Ensure discipline outputs are completed on schedule and within agreed costs.Support project managers to ensure adequate resources and project backing.Foster continuous improvement in team efficiency and expertise.
General Responsibilities: Follow Health & Safety, ESG, and HR policies and legal requirements.Promote company initiatives for QHSE and ESG.Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or Directors.Health & Safety Responsibilities:Check equipment condition before use.Report any safety issues, accidents, or near misses.Adhere to the AEL staff handbook and HSW policies.Environmental Responsibilities:Recycle according to local guidelines.Follow the companys Environmental Policy and Procedures.Report environmental issues and suggest improvements.
A successful Project Weight Engineer will have solid experience in offshore oil & gas or energy projects, with a focus on weight control and CoG analysis. You will have a strong understanding of offshore engineering principles and project execution methods, and the proven ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
A Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably in Structural) is required, along with significant experience managing weight control in offshore projects. We require strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate complex technical aspects of projects. Effective communication and negotiation skills are key to liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with industry standards like ISO, API, and DNV.
This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Thursday - 08.30 to 17.30hrs. Friday 08.30 to 15.00hrs.
