JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 13 year old boy living in Barry with my parents and siblings. I have quadriplegic cerebral palsy and mild scoliosis. This means I’m unable to mobilise without using a powered wheel chair. I go to full time school in Ysgol Y Deri and love spending time with my friends in school. I’m popular and outgoing and really enjoy socialising and spending time with my peers. When I’m in the house I like playing on my iPad and watching YouTube videos. When I go out I love going bowling or to the cinema. I like most of the latest released kid’s films. I’m really talkative and like to form a close relationship with people who are looking after me. I have an Adapted van that a potential PA will need to drive and be over the age of 21 in the case of the insurance. As a result of my disability I struggle to swallow food and need extra help with eating and making sure I’m safe. I have a peg feeding tube for extra nutrition from time to time too. My parents want me to attend more group activities to make some more friends and develop my social skills further. I tend to visit Cardiff to take part in activities as there is more going on there. I’m a happy and outgoing young boy but I am very emotionally strong minded which sometimes makes me come across as abusive mentally and physically. I would love to find someone who’s going to form a special bond with me and enjoy spending time with me too.
