10. Clean and lubricate machines.
11. Operate forklifts to deliver materials.
12. Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices.
13. Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.
14. Lubricate work pieces with oil.
15. Mark identifying data on work pieces.
16. Load work pieces, plastic material, or chemical solutions into machines.
17. Plan sequences of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of work piece materials.
18. Adjust ram strokes of presses to specified lengths, using hand tools.
19. Grind out burrs or sharp edges, using portable grinders, speed lathes, or polishing jacks.
20. Turn controls to set cutting speeds, feed rates, or table angles for specified operations.
21. Turn valves to start flow of coolant against cutting areas or to start airflow that blows cuttings away from kerfs.
22. Remove housings, feed tubes, tool holders, or other accessories to replace worn or broken parts, such as springs or bushings.
23. Replace defective blades or wheels, using hand tools.
24. Place work pieces on cutting tables, manually or using hoists, cranes, or sledges.
25. Scribe reference lines on work pieces as guides for cutting operations, according to blueprints, templates, sample parts, or specifications.
26. Sharpen dulled blades, using bench grinders, abrasive wheels, or lathes.
27. Set blade tensions, heights, and angles to perform prescribed cuts, using wrenches.
28. Hand-form, cut, or finish work pieces, using tools such as table saws, hand sledges, or anvils.
29. Select, clean, and install spacers, rubber sleeves, or cutters on arbors.
30. Thread ends of metal coils from reels through slitters and secure ends on recoils.
31. Hone cutters with oilstones to remove nicks.
32. Preheat workpieces, using heating furnaces or hand torches.
