Salary: £13.03 per hour
Shift pattern: 2pm - 10pm
Role Purpose
Loading and unloading of wagons, issuing of raw materials and packaging to shop floor to ensure all lines are kept running and general housekeeping of the warehouse and yard. This role includes working outside in the yard.
Key Accountabilities
1. Carry out the intake of raw materials and packaging, liaising with the Technical and Purchasing departments to ensure conformance to specifications.
2. Load finished goods onto vehicles in a safe and proper manner with the most economical usage of space.
3. Ensure that all raw materials and packaging are receipted accurately and stored and allocated to Production in the correct rotation and are in-line with material intake procedures.
4. Operate a computer and book in and dispatch goods through Tropos.
5. Use emails as an alternative but essential method of communication.
6. Maintain material stock rotation and segregation of allergens.
7. Report any issues with RM quality or shelf life identified on stock counts.
8. Ensure that finished goods are stored to maximise product quality and prevent damage, to aid in rotation of date codes and prevent miss picking.
Paperwork, Quality Checks, HCCP, Traceability and Labelling
1. Complete all relevant paperwork relating to Warehouse functions such as delivery and dispatch notes, certificates of conformance, and consignment notes.
2. Report stock damages using the stock damages reporting form.
3. Record collections of raw materials and packaging into the company MRP system via the relevant Tropos transactions.
4. Identify traceability 'G' numbers clearly on pallets.
5. Record traceability 'G' numbers of all direct contact packaging clearly on pallets.
6. Ensure stock turnaround is efficient by clearly labelling pallets where capacity for storage is limited.
Hygiene, Housekeeping and Health & Safety
1. Ensure that Health & Safety standards are maintained throughout all areas of responsibility, with emphasis on the safety and operation of all FLT's and ensure adequate and appropriate pre-start checks are completed daily, reporting any failures immediately to the Warehouse Manager.
2. Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards in all storage, warehouse, and yard areas.
3. Pallet stacks to be no more than 8 high.
4. Report any damage to fabrication or materials immediately.
5. Maintain all FLT's in a clean and safe condition, reporting any damage or faults to the Warehouse Manager.
Communication
1. Liaise regularly with raw materials & packaging scheduler regarding due or unexpected deliveries of raw materials and packaging.
2. Liaise regularly with planning manager regarding due or untimely transport for finished good collections.
3. Communicate on shift handovers verbally, by email, and also by recording information in a book where notes can be made.
Performance Measures
1. Weekly GMP audits looking at Hygiene, Traceability, and Housekeeping.
2. Utilisation of collections to minimise non-full load dispatches.
3. Weekly stock take/variances.

1. FLT Licence: Counterbalance AND reach
2. Computer literate
3. Basic Food Hygiene
4. Basic Health & Safety
5. Capable of working to tight guidelines
