On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Digital Portfolio Manager for a 6 month contract based Leeds, Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester or Blackpool - Hybrid working Portfolio management is key within the department in ensuring that decisions surrounding the timing, structure and prioritisation of projects & programmes, are correctly planned and managed. The Portfolio Management profession focuses on identifying the needs of the department and then aligning the strategy and project portfolio with the required needs. This will involve maintaining a holistic view of the project portfolio, whilst also identifying risks and issues that arise in an individual project and the interdependencies that may exist in the portfolio. Portfolio managers are crucial in defining appropriate governance across projects, assuring quality, accelerating delivery and ensuring that proportionate governance is applied and followed. You will ensure compliance with standards for and support adherence to all governance and assurance activity for the Service Teams or DWP Digital, ensuring all service standards are being met. You will support teams in identifying and managing inter-project dependencies, ensuring where delivery is at risk, actions are in place to mitigate. You will support identification of future risks and blockers, using tooling and information to spot planning and delivery risks, escalating to senior leadership as necessary.
