Job Description:
As a GCSE Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in helping students succeed in their GCSE subjects, preparing them for the upcoming exams. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Subject-Specific Teaching (80%)
2. Delivering engaging and effective lessons in your specific subject area (English, Maths).
3. Tailoring your teaching approach to meet the individual needs of students.
4. Providing clear explanations, examples, and practical exercises to enhance understanding and subject mastery.
5. Preparing and conducting mock exams and practice tests to assess students' progress.
Note: Understanding the content in the GCSE exams is crucial, as we have Year 11 students sitting exams in May and June, and our goal is to get them ready to pass. We are looking for qualified or unqualified candidates who have a deep understanding of the curriculum.
1. Progress Monitoring and Feedback (10%)
2. Regularly assessing student performance and tracking their progress.
3. Providing constructive feedback and areas of improvement to students.
4. Collaborating with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
5. Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning (10%)
6. Developing and organizing lesson plans, resources, and materials.
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest curriculum changes and exam requirements.
8. Continuously improving teaching methods and materials to enhance student learning.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
1. A degree in the subject area you will be tutoring (e.g., English, Maths).
2. A deep understanding of the GCSE curriculum and examination requirements.
3. Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. Patience and the ability to adapt your teaching style to different learning needs.
5. A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
6. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus.
