Our Critical Care department is a combined unit with both Intensive Care and High Dependency beds. We have the capacity to admit into 12 beds from a range of specialities and services; these can be used flexibly to meet patient needs. We work closely with the Rehabilitation after Critical Illness team which is led by a Critical Care Rehabilitation Nurse Practitioner.

Main duties of the job

You should be a Registered Nurse/ODP ideally with current experience in critical care, although this is not an essential requirement for this post. You should possess or be working towards a degree in nursing or a related field and hold a recognized teaching qualification. You should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills and be able to work effectively as a member of the critical care team. Internal rotation (Days/Nights) is mandatory.

* Professional Registration (RN/HCPC)

* Critical Care Nursing Course or be working towards
* Hold or be willing to work towards obtaining Critical Care Step Competencies 1, 2, and 3
* Teaching & Assessing qualification/Practice Assessor
Experience
* Current critical care/anaesthetic working
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Ability to work flexibly (day and night shift rotation)
