Role: Housekeeper
Location: Bishopstoke Park, Bishopstoke
Hours: 35 hours
Hourly rate: £12.00 per hour
Bishopstoke Park, are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping Team.
You will be contracted to 35hours per week.
This is a permanent post; you will be working in a Retirement Village.
We provide Housekeeping Services to residents in their own homes.
It is preferred you have previous housekeeping experience, preferably from a hospitality background.
You will be expected to work bank holidays, weekends, and special holidays (Boxing Day, New Years Day etc) on a rota basis.
Set in the parish of Bishopstoke within historic county of Hampshire. Our retirement village is located within a beautiful natural woodland, not far from the Itchen Navigation.
Our 32-acre retirement village provides a carefully selected range of independent living accommodation alongside extensive communal facilities and beautiful surroundings to meet the varying needs of our residents.
Reporting into the Housekeeping manager, responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Working in our onsite Laundry
• Cleaning communal areas throughout the village
• Cleaning within people’s homes Required knowledge & experience:
• Knowledge of commercial dryers and washers • Knowledge of commercial irons and roller irons
• Knowledge of COSHH • Knowledge of Health and Safety
• Experience with household appliances
• Experience with pushing cleaning trolleys with required equipment. Required skills:
• Well organized and able to plan workload.
• Strong interpersonal and empathy skills and a friendly personality.
• Able to work individually and as part of a team.
• Good people skills
