Job summary An excellent opportunity to work within the Children's Services 0-19 Administration Team providing comprehensive support to the Health Visiting and School Nursing clinical teams as they provide care to the children and families of Salford. The ideal candidate will have a degree of administration experience, excellent communication skills and be proficient with a wide variety of computer packages. Knowledge of Patient Centre, EPR and record management would be an advantage. There is contact with external and internal service users, therefore good interpersonal skills are needed. You will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the 0-19 service, incorporating Health Visiting and School Nursing, and liaise as appropriate with the general public, other professionals within health and local authority and colleagues within Northern Care Alliance. You will provide non-clinical advice and guidance to patients, staff, and external agencies. Main duties of the job To work as a member of the 0-19 team, providing administrative and clerical support. Contribute to the continued development of the standard operating procedure for the administration service to ensure best practice and efficiencies. Deal with patients in a sensitive caring manner, including people who are angry, upset, distressed or have communication problems. Respond to telephone enquiries from staff, parents and other professionals, efficiently and conscientiously on a daily basis. Accurate message taking and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure to ensure messages are communicated efficiently. Efficient distribution and/or actioning of correspondence on a daily basis via paper, electronic. Demonstrate Trust values at all times. Accurate data inputting as required in patient records and working systems appropriate to the job role and within agreed timeframes. To plan and prioritise work received to maximum effect and to meet deadlines. To actively participate in the My Time appraisal process on an annual basis, including a review of what aspects of your role are being done well, and the identification of any areas for development.
