We are looking for a Commercial Activation Lead to join our growing F1 Academy team supporting the Head of Commercial, Formula 1 Academy, as well as serving as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Act as the lead contact between F1 Academy and all F1 teams regarding deliverables such as contractual ticketing requests, garage and car livery branding, events, and activations.
2. Proactively share F1 Academy’s marketing and activation plans, communicate updates regularly with the F1 teams, and identify opportunities for collaboration and joint engagement.
3. Point of contact for all operational elements of the Wildcard car livery and driver changes each race, including onboarding new commercial partners for maximum brand exposure.
4. Main contact point for the hospitality team regarding F1 team and commercial partner integration, focusing on experiential activations and operational delivery.
5. Define operational deliverables for each race concerning the F1 Academy paddock structure, executive offices, and hospitality spaces.
6. Lead Commercial and Operational contact within F1 Academy for all FOM internal stakeholders and departments to ensure streamlined communication and end-to-end delivery.
7. Responsible for implementation and internal alignment of the F1 Academy accreditation and access system.
8. Lead contact for all race promoters to ensure streamlined planning and operational delivery of the F1 Academy structures and hospitality.
9. Planning and execution of F1 Academy off-track events, working with F1A event partners, including driver content creation and participation at events.
10. Responsible for liaison with all internal departments such as legal, procurement, and H&S to ensure delivery to a high standard and within approved budgets.
About You:
1. Extensive experience in a similar role at a dynamic organisation supporting a fast-paced team.
2. Project and event management experience; Formula 1 experience is desirable but not mandatory.
3. Experience in event setup and operation in similar environments, with a strong focus on customer service.
4. Knowledge within sport/sport business and motorsport, including the women’s sport landscape.
5. Able to work simultaneously on different projects in different time zones.
6. Able to analyse and manage large scale budgets in detail.
7. Interest in sport/sport business/women’s sport.
8. Passion for event delivery and guest experience.
9. A positive, confident, and determined approach to work.
10. Experience of working in a dynamic environment, often to tight deadlines, with a collaborative and ‘can do’ approach.
11. Proactive and self-sufficient with excellent interpersonal skills.
