Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Location: Flexible within Northern Ireland (Toome, Belfast, Coleraine) Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid - 2 days a week from home Reed are working with a Manufacturing/Construction business seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to provide essential support across various operational locations in Northern Ireland. Working as part of a dedicated Health & Safety team, reporting to the Health & Safety Manager and working alongside 2 other Advisors. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct regular health and safety visits and audits at operational locations and contract sites, aligning with company targets. Promote a positive safety culture among employees and subcontractors. Implement and uphold the CRH Life Saving Rules and the Ireland Materials Health & Safety strategy. Provide advice and assistance on all aspects of health and safety management and legislation. Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and high potential learning events. Deliver safety campaigns and employee training as required. Lead health and safety meetings and consultations. Prepare health and safety reports and statistics for internal use and compliance. Assist in the approval of contractors and hauliers, and in developing health and safety plans and risk assessments. Support location managers during external audits and represent the company at industry events. Required Skills & Qualifications: NEBOSH H&S Certificate minimum; degree level education or equivalent professional experience preferred. At least 2 years' experience in an operational health and safety role, ideally within the construction, building materials, or manufacturing industries. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to developing solutions. Good knowledge of current health and safety legislation and practices. Flexibility and responsiveness to handle incidents and information requests. Willingness to continuously develop skills and knowledge. Must be willing to travel to company operational locations and hold a valid driving licence.
