This role will play a key role in the preparation of budgets, analysis of monthly management accounts and the provision of financial and costing information for company directors.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a management accounting position and be a fully qualified member of a recognized accounting body.
Responsibilities Develop departmental budgets and financial forecasts.
Compile and evaluate monthly management accounts, including a comprehensive management accounts pack for review by Senior Management and the Finance Committee.
Prepare costing schedules and financial data for inclusion in tender documents.
Generate reports for funders.
Produce reports on capital expenditures and fixed assets.
Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts as needed.
Contribute to maintaining and enhancing internal controls and perform internal audits when required.
Assist in training finance staff and deliver financial training to non-financial managers.
Qualifications Qualified Accountant with a recognized accounting body.
Experience in budgeting including variance analysis.
Experience in the preparation of accounts from trial balance.
Great time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- specifically Excel.
