As the assistant manager, you will help the manager ensure that the business operates profitably and efficiently, while maintaining a class-leading level of service and professionalism.
Planning, organisation, and day-to-day management are essential, but your creativity, enthusiasm, and ability to lead by example are the most desirable skills.
Previous experience in a similar role or relevant transferable skills are essential; competent IT skills would be highly advantageous in this important senior role.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Business performance and profitability
2. Staff and rota management
3. Management and engagement via social media channels
4. Organise marketing activities, such as promotional events
5. Work to and agree budgets with senior management
6. Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
7. Check stock levels, order supplies, and prepare cash drawers and petty cash
8. Comply with licensing laws and other legal requirements
9. Confidence in communication with customer areas and staff essential
