Make a meaningful impact by supporting a global leader in animal welfare and sustainability. Join Compassion in World Farming and play a vital role in ending factory farming, creating a better world for animals, people, and the planet.
About Us:
Compassion in World Farming International is a leading global animal welfare organisation dedicated to ending factory farming. We were founded in 1967 by Peter Roberts, a British farmer alarmed by the rise of factory farming. We have achieved bans on some of the most inhumane practices including barren battery cages, veal crates, and sow gestation crates in the UK and Europe. Our corporate engagement work has led to commitments that benefit over 3 billion animals with better lives every year.
About the Role:
As the Senior Global Governance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Global Chief Operating Officer (COO) in ensuring the smooth operation of Compassion in World Farming's governance processes, risk management, and strategic projects. You will oversee the annual cycle of global governance for CIWF's international entities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across multiple countries.
You will manage essential governance processes, including board meetings, risk assessments, and GDPR compliance, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the organisation's operations are aligned with its global mission. This is a high-impact role where your expertise in governance, compliance, and project management will help drive the success of CIWF's global initiatives and contribute directly to the fight against factory farming. This position is ideal for someone with a strong governance background, excellent project management skills, and a passion for animal welfare.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced and proactive professional with a strong background in global governance, risk management, and compliance. You will have a proven ability to work across multiple jurisdictions, managing complex processes and coordinating with senior leaders, legal teams, and external stakeholders.
You'll thrive in fast-paced environments, be highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently. You'll need to have outstanding communication skills, which allow you to confidently engage with a range of diverse stakeholders at all levels, from senior board members to external partners. You will be comfortable taking the lead on projects, ensuring that key governance processes run smoothly, and ensuring deadlines are met. As part of this role you will proactively drive initiatives forward, contributing to the organisation's growth and success by applying a strategic mindset and the ability to anticipate challenges.
Why Should You Apply:
By joining Compassion in World Farming, you'll be part of a global movement dedicated to ending factory farming and creating a sustainable, compassionate future for animals and the planet.
