Basic Salary: £29,400
Shift Allowance: £3,750
Production Bonus: £1,248 (average 50% production bonus)
Total Potential Annual Salary: £34,398
Working Hours:
40 hours per week with overtime opportunities
Shift Pattern: 6am - 2:30pm or 6pm - 2:30am
Flexibility required based on work demand.
Your Mission:
As a Maintenance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to repair, adjust, and maintain production equipment, ensuring it functions reliably and adheres to Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond to break-downs and other operating problems and complete planned maintenance activities to minimise disruptions to manufacturing processes.
2. Attend machines to assess planned maintenance activities and diagnose breakdowns.
3. Establish a safe working area.
4. Communicate with machine operators to attain information relating to the deviations.
5. Assess the need to isolate.
6. Advise production supervisors of expected duration of work if possible.
7. Undertake appropriate repairs to machinery.
8. Instruct machine operators to test machinery on completion of maintenance activity.
9. Maintain tools and repair equipment to ensure good working order.
10. Maintain detailed maintenance records to ensure Health and Safety is upheld.
11. Complete work order documents with the relevant information relating to the required maintenance activity.
12. Complete take 2s and raise permits to work when the need to isolate occurs.
13. Sign off permits when reengaging power.
14. Liaise with machine operators to sign off completed work orders.
15. Capture all maintenance activities in the relevant recording system.
16. Complete appropriate audits on maintenance equipment.
17. Feedback to the relevant individuals on proposed improvements to machinery, operator competence, and/or any other relevant information.
18. Set, calibrate, or adjust equipment, machinery, and instruments to comply with production specifications or instructions.
19. Measure product lengths and angles.
20. Identify opportunities to maximise product utilisation within British Standards.
21. Respond to observations from machine operators on product calibration.
22. Input corrections into the operating system.
23. Recheck product for new calibration changes.
24. Miscellaneous or ad hoc business requirements.
