Consultant Radiologist: Breast and Women's Health Imaging
Applications are invited for a full time Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Breast imaging. The radiology on-call service is provided in-house by first on-call SpRs with secondary support from Radiologists.

This post is based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, but may include sessions at other Health Board sites.
Main duties of the job
1. Professional supervision and management of junior medical staff. If appropriate, the post holder will be named in the contracts of junior staff as the person responsible for overseeing their training.
2. Requirement to participate in medical audit and in continuing medical education in ways which are acceptable to the ABUHB.
3. Any requirement agreed for the provision of cover for consultant colleagues' periods of leave.
4. All qualified staff have a responsibility to supervise unqualified/more junior staff and students on a day-to-day basis to ensure that patients receive appropriate care and that any untoward action is addressed.
5. Any other duties with other agencies that have been agreed with the ABUHB.

This position involves Regulated Activity with adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer:
* Enhanced check with barred list information, including an adults barred list check.
Applicants must hold full registration and a license to practice with the GMC.
Candidates for Consultant posts must also be on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or will have a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview.
