Job Title - Cook / Catering Assistant Location - Lonsdale House, Lichfield Road, Walsall, WS4 2DH Hourly rate - £11.90ph Contract type - Permanent Working hours - 16 hrs Shift patterns: 10.00 - 14.00 (days) 14.00 - 18.00 (afternoons) Shifts will be any 4 days including weekends and bank holidays so would need to be flexible. About the Service Lonsdale House provides a home for men and women aged over 18 who are preparing to move onto greater independence, but who need help because of the effects of mental ill health. In your new role as Cook/Catering Assistant, you will: Build relationships with Residents, which are open and two way Establish methods of communication with residents, reducing barriers when necessary Stock Rotation Plan and prepare good quality nutritious meals Monitoring and recond food, fridge and freezer tempreatures Complete kitchen cleaning accoring to the schedule As Cook/ Caterinf Assistant, you will ideally have: A minimum of food hygiene level 2 and maintain high standards A warm hearted, friendly manner, patience, kindness and good communication, a willingness to help others, requiring patience An open and honest character, respectful and celebrate diversity, connect with colleagues and residents to celebrate uniqueness The GSA Way We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do.
