Do you have a passion for retail and want to work for an organisation where your hard work and dedication will have a direct impact on patient care provision to local children and adults?
We’re looking to recruit a Shop Supervisor role to support our retail teams across our three Carlisle shops and/or our Penrith site. The great benefit about being a bank Shop Supervisor is the flexibility it provides for both you and the charity.
The role involves:
1. Supporting the Retail Operation in raising income for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice through our portfolio of charity shops, including our e-commerce offering, by maximising sales and increasing profitability in line with budgets.
2. Delivering a high-quality retail service, including excellent customer service, to agreed performance targets and ensuring appropriate standards of stock control, security, health and safety, and trading standards regulations are met within the premises.
3. With the support of the Shop Manager, ensuring the efficient and effective leadership of a team of volunteers, encouraging effective communication, initiating work plans, and helping to foster a positive team spirit through regular team meetings.
We are a local charity dedicated to providing specialist care to adults from the local area and children throughout Cumbria, as well as caring for their families, friends, and carers. We are proud to have been at the heart of our local community for over 30 years, but as we must source 80% of the £5 million it costs to run Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, our donors and fundraisers are central to our ability to uphold this level of care.
We offer some great benefits including:
* Competitive salary
* Free, confidential access to our Employee Assistant Programme
* Life insurance for all staff working regular hours
* Discounted local gym membership
* Access to discount schemes for high street retailers and more
