The Role

The Education People are currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the efficient functioning of their wider Commercial Team. As a key member of the Marketing Team, you will contribute to the execution of the annual marketing strategy, utilising both traditional and digital media channels. You will use your creativity and attention to detail to support the team with various activity and will work on a range of marketing activity, across all TEPs products, services, and brands.
A typical day in this role is varied but includes tasks such as scheduling social media posts, consulting with suppliers, proofreading copy, updating website content, managing the marketing inbox, formatting marketing email content, and much more.

Key Duties:
7. Support event promotion and preparation, including The Education People Show. This may include set up and take down, and attendance at events as required.
8. Proofread and upload new website content through the CMS System, covering areas such as blog posts and product pages.
9. Write and proofread internal and external content, including social media posts, blogs, flyers, and emails. Schedule social media posts and monitor social channels.
10. Conduct data mining and generate reports through the CRM system.
11. Manage print and promotional materials ensuring timely delivery, adherence to specifications, and budget compliance.
12. Create and schedule internal and external email content using DotDigital and Notify.
13. Use templates on Canva or similar software to create social media and marketing graphics when required.
What we need from you
14. A qualification in Marketing, English, or a related field, or at least 6 months of experience in a marketing or events role
15. Experience using CRM system is advantageous
16. Knowledge of account-based marketing strategy is desirable
17. IT literate, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite, social media and Canva
18. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
19. Excellent time management and organisational skills
20. Creative with a keen eye for detail
