The AppleCare Business Development Manager is responsible for developing partnerships with Resellers/Retailers and Carriers in the region, formulating strategies to deliver revenue growth with AppleCare sales. This role is essential in developing partnerships that deliver impact and scale. You will work with a cross-functional team in developing strategies and business cases, structuring and executing partnerships, and driving strategic initiatives to grow our AppleCare business in the dedicated region. The sales region for this role is UK/Ireland, which could be extended over time as we keep expanding to new markets. Reporting to the EMEIA AppleCare Sales Director, the role is based in London and will require regular travel.
Description:
The AppleCare Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing the business for the dedicated markets, where key tasks involve:
1. Being an AppleCare product and solutions expert: Be the go-to person in the geo for creating all AppleCare customer propositions (standard/bespoke) and evangelizing AppleCare features & benefits amongst internal teams and external partners alike.
2. Developing and executing strategic Country and Account Plans in collaboration with the Hardware sales teams. Regular business updates on sales & key achievements and represent AppleCare in Country/Partner Business Reviews.
3. Owning AppleCare Sales Results. Develops and executes tactical activities to achieve targets for dedicated markets. Look at winning/retaining partners through a variety of Back-End Margin programs.
4. Expanding the AppleCare footprint in the region by winning and onboarding new partners while maintaining a healthy pipeline of accounts across different channels.
5. Growing the AppleCare business with existing partners by developing and implementing initiatives across the three levers of Awareness, Advocacy, and Offers/Promotions.
6. Constantly screening the market for opportunities, creating business cases/propositions for cross-functional stakeholders to secure buy-ins to implement. Own central responsibilities like managing relationships with a Group partner or Pan Euro initiative.
7. Building and maintaining important contacts with various internal partners in an effort to achieve results, including the Apple Care teams (Channel Partner Programs, Commercial, Field Service) and the Hardware Sales Country management team in the region.
8. Leading negotiations for the AppleCare Service contract with Retail/Carriers and Insurers in the dedicated region.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Healthy pipeline of accounts to back up quarterly/annual sales targets.
* Creation of a clear Country and Account Plan with all the cross-functional contributors (Hardware Sales teams, field services team).
* Successful closing of AppleCare deals in the region.
* Quality of Business reviews for accounts/countries.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Strong experience of commercial deal development and sales execution.
* Sales track record in a comparable space with strong sales mindset and tenacity.
* Deep understanding of the retailer, reseller, and wireless channels in UK/IRE. Understanding of the B2C service business and go-to-market strategies for extended service and support agreements.
* Strong negotiation and presentation skills with experience navigating complex sales situations.
* High comfort in dealing with C-level within Apple and at the Partner account level.
* Self-starter with an analytical orientation, strategic vision, and strong executional track record. A strong command of business and financial modeling is important to success in this role.
* Ability to manage and work with incomplete information on resources, cross-functional priorities, and timelines.
* Excellent presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong networking ability.
* Adept at fostering strong relationships across a broad group of stakeholders.
* Demonstrate a passion, energy, and focus on developing and growing multi-million dollar business programs in your dedicated region.
* Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in insurance services/warranty business or finished goods IT/consumer electronics business.
* Successful sales track record with large Retail and Carriers partners in EMEIA.
* Proven effective relationship builder within a matrix environment at regional, local, and WW levels.
