Lab Technician
Position: Permanent
Salary: £30,600 + excellent pension
Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-4:30pm, Fri 8am-1pm
Introduction: We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician to oversee and manage chemical processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring all chemical processes meet strict internal and customer specifications, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The position requires a diligent and methodical individual capable of working collaboratively within a team, contributing to the ongoing improvement of operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Control and analyse all chemical process lines to meet internal and customer requirements.
2. Lead chemical additions and tank changes with the assistance of trained operators.
3. Develop and control procedures for managing chemical processes to meet specification requirements.
4. Manage on-site process chemicals, including usage, identification, storage, and accurate record-keeping.
5. Oversee the running and maintenance of the water treatment and neutralisation plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Conduct annual reviews for operators trained in chemical analysis.
7. Maintain high quality standards while ensuring product traceability and safety.
8. Provide feedback to the on-site chemist and NDT level 3 on potential issues and improvements.
9. Work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to process improvements.
10. Support the cell leader in training and knowledge transfer, aligning with company strategy.
11. Resolve problems with the support of the wider team.
