Group Engineering Manager
Position Summary
The Group Engineering Manager plays a critical role in leading CAPEX strategies across the region, ensuring engineering standards are implemented, and driving technological innovation.
This senior leadership position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and skills, with a focus on developing site maintenance and engineering teams.
The role can be based in Ireland, UK, Switzerland or Germany, but must involve travel to all European Sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Maintain adherence to EHS requirements and procedures, including incident reporting and resolution, and proper use of PPE.
* Oversee Site Engineering Teams: Monitor performance, facilitate growth, and handle disputes to ensure efficient operations.
* Establish Project Goals and Timelines: Determine resources and milestones to achieve project success, and monitor completion within agreed timeframes and budgets.
* Manage Engineering Capex Projects: Select OEM/new technology, work with management and finance to develop capex requests, procure new items, manage installation and commissioning, and review ROI validation.
* Negotiate and Manage Contracts: Collaborate with Procurement to negotiate and manage contracts with clients and suppliers.
* Develop Maintenance Strategy: Ensure equipment remains operational, reduce non-functional periods, and maintain productivity.
* Communicate Project Progress: Inform clients about project progress and engage and instruct team members.
* Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Understand relevant legislation, monitor changes, and ensure work processes and outcomes comply.
* Manage Site Maintenance and Project Budgets: Work with Site Leaders to save on costs, track progress, monitor expenditures, allocate resources efficiently, and make necessary adjustments to stay within budget.
* Lead Technology Adoption: Facilitate the team's adaptation to new industry developments and deliver excellent results.
* Oversee Quality Assurance: Ensure output meets standards, implement robust quality control processes, and detect and correct final product quality deviations.
Requirements:
This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and experience in managing site maintenance and engineering teams. A deep understanding of CAPEX strategies, engineering standards, and technological innovation is essential.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams. Experience working in a regulated environment and understanding of relevant legislation is also required.

Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per annum
