We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring individual to join our thriving and highly committed midwifery team. You will be required to support the delivery and enhancement of our pre and post-registration midwifery courses and contribute to the ongoing development of the School and the Faculty of Education Health and Wellbeing.
You will have a high level of insight into contemporary midwifery practice. Experience in practice-based education would be an advantage. Knowledge of contemporary policy and professional standards, as well as theories and concepts that underpin midwifery practice and education is essential. You must be registered as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and possess strong evidence of continuing professional development related to your current role. Clinical experience and qualifications in Newborn Intensive Physical Examination (NIPE), Newborn Life Support (NLS), and Contraception and Sexual Health is desirable, as is a willingness to work towards a Master’s degree that is subject related.
