We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse, a Category B men's prison and young offenders institution based in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool in Merseyside.

Saturday 2pm-6pm - 1 session
Salary
This position is part-time, working 4 hours per week. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £114,490 per annum FTE (pro rata if fewer than 10 sessions are contracted) - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing:
As a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering first-class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, allowing you to develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn’t usually experience within a practice or A&E environment.
* Providing clinical assessment and diagnosis to meet patients’ requirements and making timely decisions regarding future management.
* Serving as a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at the site, with active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required:
* MBChB or MBBS, inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
* Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
* Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse; RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
