Senior Marketing Manager – Brand Development (12 month fixed term contract to cover for a period of maternity)

With a bold ambition to become a leading premium coffee brand globally and being part of the Coca Cola family, growing sustainably is a priority. 2025 will be a key year for the Costa brand as we launch into the next phase of our growth strategy whilst fully relaunching and repositioning the brand to consumers globally. As part of the global brand team, you will play a critical role in this transformation by continuing to shape the development, delivery and evolution of our new brand positioning to unlock Costa’s growth ambition, creating global brand building assets, content, and toolkits for all markets and defining our global partnership strategy & execution approach.
What you’ll do
* Continue to shape the development, delivery and evolution of our new brand positioning to unlock Costa’s growth ambition.
* Define our communication strategy for our core brand proposition and assets.
* Create global brand building assets, content, and toolkits for all markets.
* Lead the development of core masterbrand assets across coffee occasions to support Costa’s growth into a multi-channel coffee company.
* Be the global brand guardian across the business – engaging and embedding the new brand identity across the business via playbooks, toolkits and best practice – ensuring all visual representations of the brand are following the brand guidelines and suited for different platforms, across all Global markets.
* Define Global media strategy & principles – working with the global media agency to build overarching channel strategy approach.
* Drive for Global best practice and consistency in econometrics.
* Own our approach to Global brand design strategy across multiple touchpoints.
Who you are
* An experienced marketer with a passion for brand building foundations – understanding of what it takes to build (global) brands and best-in-class knowledge of how to navigate consistency versus flex in matrixed organisations.
* Proven implementation of successful brand communications and campaigns – toolkit and asset development for multi-market applicability.
* Experience in creating strategies and processes where none existed previously.
* Experience in setting up and leading branded partnerships from ideation through to execution.
* Broad and deep media strategy experience.
* Fearless leadership in creating brand legacies, motivated by brand guardianship.
* Best practice campaign evaluation and return on marketing investment (effectiveness) – not essential but a plus.
* Exceptional communication, relationship building and influencing skills.
* Solutions focused, comfortable with ambiguity, agile & can adapt or course correct when needed.
Location – Hybrid with the expectation to attend London office (Wimpole Street) a minimum of twice a week.
