Purpose We have two brand-new positions to join an existing team of Defined Benefit Technical Specialists within the Defined Benefit Operations Team here at Just. This role would suit a Senior Pensions Administrator with excellent technical DB pensions knowledge looking to take the next step in their career. You will be required to provide technical support, guidance, and training to the DB Administration team. Additionally, you will work on a variety of operational tasks, from making/approving monthly payroll payments to managing customer queries and complaints. You will also work closely with our Third-Party Administration operational team and the Implementation team, providing support with administrative and member queries. Being able to organize and prioritize work to ensure that SLA’s and standards are met is vital within this role. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Just meets the obligations that we have agreed to, in line with the FCA, PRA, and TPR rules and regulations. While this role is listed as full-time, we are also happy to consider applicants wishing to work on a part-time basis. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support and guidance to the DB Member Services team. Ensure DB Senior Leadership Team and affected teams up to date about specific technical and legislative issues relevant to DB de-risking by way of research, analysis, and liaison with industry bodies. Identify risks and administrative requirements presented by existing and proposed DB related legislation and regulations. Review process guides and maps to ensure that they meet legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring they adhere to the TCF, Conduct, and vulnerable customer principles. DB policy administration as required, working with the Third-Party Administration team, including providing technical guidance on member queries, DSAR’s, and complaints. Assist with TPA Operational audits, as necessary. Support the DB Operations team and wider DB Team with various tasks associated with client requirements, administration, reporting, MI, payments, and data validation. Engage in process and continuous improvement initiatives. Design and deliver training that is appropriate for internal as well as TPA staff members. Support DB Implementation Services and the Business Development teams with any ad-hoc technical matters and any queries. Requirements Strong technical understanding of DB Pensions; its legislation, taxation, and regulatory framework. Experience of working alongside or for a TPA administering DB Pensions or BPA products. Good understanding of DB de-risking administration requirements and how they differ from standard pensions administration. Ability to give constructive feedback and provide regular updates to management. Training individuals and groups of people. Ability to manage own workloads and prioritize several different tasks based on business volumes and priorities. A good team worker, able to establish and communicate priorities with several people to ensure adequate support is given to the team and TPA’s. Customer service focused. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate information across different channels Clear focus on quality, service, and results. Good Microsoft office skills particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. Flexible approach with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-moving environment. Experience Several years’ experience working in the Pensions Industry. Previous experience of working for a DB Pensions De-Risking company beneficial. Extensive knowledge and experience of DB calculation routines. Experience of providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Experience of working with non-standard processes and systems. Previous project team experience, especially related to pension scheme activities. Why Just?
