The postholder is responsible for the security, safety and maintenance of the school site and help to ensure the school complies with all current legislation. The postholder will promote and participate in achieving the most efficient and economic use of the school premises, facilities, plant, equipment and materials and provide technical expertise to the Business Manager.
Within this busy team, the postholder will promote a teamwork culture which encourages and supports hard work and success. This will involve helping to creatively plan and develop the vision and strategy in conjunction with Good Estate Management (GEMS) for the school premises, with a commitment to achieving excellent standards.
They will also be responsible for the day-to-day running of the premises, which would include delegating work in order of priority for both reactive and planned maintenance.
The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week, with shift times varying and the role may include weekends. You would need to be physically fit and be able to work at heights.
