Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Ebbw Vale
Employment Type: Full time, permanent
Working Hours: 3 shift pattern - Days (05:50 - 14:00), Afternoons (13:50 - 22:00), & Nights (21:50 - 06:00)
Salary: 38,826 - 41,932 + shift allowance of up to 2400 per annum + Overtime
Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join our well-established client based in the Ebbw Vale area.

A varied, exciting role with challenges that vary from one day to the next, including diagnosing and resolving breakdowns of heavy industry machinery, fault finding, installation/replacement of electrical parts/supplies, existing equipment improvements, liaising and providing support to the production shift teams, and completing daily works records.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Maintain uptime of conveyor and drive systems, fillers, ovens, furnaces, charging systems, motor/gearboxes, and other facilities.
* Self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
* Punctual and reliable.
* Work with a safe and logical approach to installation and/or breakdown maintenance of equipment.
* Complete work to a high standard in accordance with relevant British Standards and regulations.
* Possess working knowledge of BS7671 wiring regulations (18th Edition preferable) or willing to work towards it.
* Provide shift maintenance assistance when required.
* Enforce high levels of housekeeping and safe working practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Experience with varying voltages and types of electrical systems and equipment.
* Strong electrical breakdown maintenance background.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
* Basic PLC logic and inverter drive systems desirable (Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi).
* Responsible and accountable.
* Efficient problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a busy environment.
* Keen eye for detail.
* Ability to adapt to various environments and workloads.
* Experience with risk assessments and safe working practices.
* Must possess recognized apprenticeship indentures.
* NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline.
