We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse / Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our Hospital Acute team. As a Nurse / RMN in the Acute Hospital setting, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to patients facing various medical and mental health challenges. Your expertise and empathy will contribute to the well-being and recovery of our patients. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients upon admission to the Acute Hospital unit. 2. Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each patient's medical and mental health needs. 3. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols. 4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. 5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to provide holistic patient care. 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards. 7. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and therapeutic environment. 8. Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education to stay current on best practices and advancements in mental health and medical care. 9. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff. 10. Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care at all times. Qualifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) license, as applicable in the region. - Previous experience in a hospital acute care or mental health setting is preferred. - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. - Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. - Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
