You are invited to apply to a Locum Maternity Cover Consultant in Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology & Gender in the Children and Young People’s Endocrinology Department, available as 0.8 FTE or other less than full time equivalents. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to commence in April/May 2025, for 9 months, with the possibility of extension subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, highly skilled locum consultant, with broad experience in Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology, or adolescent medicine to join our team at University College Hospital (UCLH). We would expect the appointee to support the endocrine component of the NHS England specialist services for Children and Young People (CYP) with Gender Incongruence (previously GIDS), and have or develop a sub-speciality interest in endocrinology/adolescent medicine that complements the current interests within our department, such as puberty and reproductive endocrinology disorders, pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders, late effects of cancer treatments and and/or the CYP Diabetes service. There may also be the possibility for an interested candidate with the appropriate experience to combine a post in adolescent medicine and gender endocrinology.

1. To ensure the development, maintenance and dissemination of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training
2. To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to paediatric and adolescent medicine
3. To participate in the collection and presentation of appropriate data in line with the Trust’s requirements and clinical initiatives
