Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. We are a small friendly practice in rural Devon specialising in patient-centred Minimum Intervention dentistry. We are preferably looking for a fully qualified and GDC registered dental nurse to join our team. However, we are open to applicants who wish to consider a career in dentistry and who are prepared to undertake the required educational pathway to obtain a registered qualification. Experience with SOE preferable for those who are qualified. Candidates with experience may be offered additional roles such as infection control lead. The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team providing exceptional customer service. As part of a small team, the ability to perform receptionist duties is essential. This role requires excellent communication skills and strong organisational abilities.
Work Schedule:
We are currently looking for 3/4 days a week:
Monday 8.30-17.30
Tuesday 9.00-18.00
Thursday 7.45-13.30
Friday 8.00-15.30
As stated above, an Apprenticeship option may be available.
Responsibilities:
* Provide chairside support to dentists, hygienists, or therapists.
* Maintain stringent cross-infection protocols (HTM105).
* Adhere to practice policies and procedures.
* Foster productive relationships with the dental team.
* Assist with reception and clerical tasks.
* Utilise a wide range of dental instruments and equipment.
* Offer guidance and support to colleagues.
* Manage stock inventory.
Requirements:
* GDC registration is essential.
* Exceptional customer care skills.
* Punctual and organized.
* Motivated and flexible.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour dependent on experience.
Expected hours: 16 – 38 per week.
Skills:
* Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a nurse or similar role, is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* A genuine passion for patient care and the ability to empathise with patients' needs.
* Basic IT skills, including familiarity with dental software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
