Professional Support and Wellbeing Coordinator
The Workforce, Training and Education (WT&E) Directorate provides leadership for the education and training system. It ensures that the shape and skills of the future health and public health workforce evolve to sustain high quality outcomes for patients in the face of demographic and technological change. WT&E ensures that the workforce has the right skills, behaviours, and training, and is available in the right numbers, to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and drive improvements through supporting healthcare providers and clinicians to take greater responsibility for planning and commissioning education and training.
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with excellent administrative and organisational skills to be part of a team that administers our Postgraduate doctors and dentists in training support and education activities across the region.
Main duties of the job
The PSWS Coordinator supports the Wessex Professional Support and Wellbeing Service (PSWS) supporting postgraduate doctors in training.
* Provide high quality administrative support to the PSWS Officer, Regional Business Manager, Associate Dean, Training Programme Director and Case managers.
* Administration of PSWS case files
* Supporting administrative processes for the Supported Return to Training programme
* Maintaining and responding to emails in shared mailboxes
* Maintaining specific webpages relevant to the Wessex PSWS.
* Support other PSWS team members with their areas of work on an ad-hoc basis as required
Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external. In addition, they must possess excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task a variety of demands on their time.
Person Specification
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work including excellent general office administration skills with the ability to manipulate data on spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Access skills) and review and develop administrative processes and procedures.
* Able to work without direct supervision
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines and prioritise workload in a challenging and demanding environment as well as the ability to remain calm in pressurised situations
Experience
* Experience of working as a team with others of varying seniority with proven ability of working in a team environment and delivering team objectives
* Experience of drafting and producing minutes and meeting notes
* Previous experience in the NHS in a similar administrative role
* Experience of working in Postgraduate Medical Education
Qualifications
* Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
