A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Worcester, in partnership with Smile Education, is seeking a skilled and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.
This role is secured to the pupil you will be supporting and the numbers of days to work will increase with the pupil's attendance. This is a contract role initially with the potentially to be permanent.
About the Role:
You will work closely with the class teacher to support teaching, learning, and associated activities for a specific child.
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting with planning, delivering, and evaluating learning activities.
* Supporting whole classes, small groups, and individual pupils to enhance their learning and development.
* Promoting self-reliance, self-esteem, and emotional well-being in pupils.
* Observing and reporting on pupil performance and progress to improve learning outcomes.
* Implementing individual learning programmes under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.
This role will be part-time, working 13 hours per week initially, increasing as the pupils attendance increases. The schedule as follows:
* Mondays and Tuesdays (8:45 am – 11:45 am)

* Supporting extracurricular activities and structured/unstructured play.
* Contributing to personalised learning plans and assessments.
* Providing care, including toileting support, if necessary.
