Finance Manager At Root we have an established and growing business with strong networks. With strong, fair values firmly at the heart of each project undertaken, and with an increasingly busy business with scope to develop, we are looking for a structured and driven individual to join our management team as a Finance Manager This is an exciting new opportunity for someone to help in our Finance Departments. You must have experience in running a Finance Department within the Construction industry for three Companies and must have an extensive experience with Sage Accounting software. Reporting to the Financial Director your: Role/Main responsibilities: Day to day inputting of Bank Payments and Receipts Overseeing all purchases are job costed Weekly Bank Reconciliations for all Companies Update Cashflow against Applications raised Raise Sales Invoices in a timely manner Chase outstanding Debt as instructed Costing of Jobs hours for both Weekly and Monthly employees Produce monthly job costing reports for Commerical Manager Produce monthly Management Accounts Make all Bank Payments that have been authorised on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Oversee weekly and monthly payroll Oversee weekly and monthly Sub-contractor payments Ensure all HMRC submissions are carried out in accordance with HMRC rules including VAT returns. Run accounts and payroll year ends for all companies Candidate Experience in a fast-paced environment Strong financial and numeracy management skills Good knowledge of construction The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily. The drive and energy to be simultaneously hands on and strategic. Good knowledge of accountancy procedures within construction Strong leadership and communication skills Promote and drive company values and initiatives. Establish good working relationship with other team members and contribute to company objectives. Provide exceptional and clear leadership direction and management. Have the ability to manage own work dairy. Be accurate and thorough, a good eye for detail. Computer literate. Able to use Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and outlook.
