Are you an experienced solicitor with a background in Housing Management and a passion for supporting an organisation that makes a real difference in people’s lives? Paradigm Housing Group is looking for a Senior Solicitor, a pivotal in-house role offering flexibility, meaningful work, and the opportunity to help shape our legal landscape.

We’re open to discussing a schedule that suits your needs, whether it’s shorter days spread throughout the week or a condensed schedule over fewer days.
About the role:
As Senior Solicitor, you will deliver high-quality, in-house legal expertise across Paradigm, managing complex cases, advising senior leadership, and helping uphold our strong culture of continuous improvement and risk management. * Dealing with non-contentious matters such as policy advice.
* Dealing with ad-hoc queries.
* Representing Paradigm in Court and Tribunals as required.
* Support the management of legal risks across the organisation, working with colleagues to develop mitigation strategies and maintain our Legal Risk Register.
* Champion a culture of legal awareness, supporting teams to manage disputes effectively and understand risk management’s role in delivering quality services to customers.
* Develop and lead training sessions for colleagues, helping them become “intelligent clients” when engaging with external legal services.
* Work with the Head of Legal on strategic projects, deputising as needed and drafting well-structured reports on legal matters for senior stakeholders.
* Actively engage in CPD and seek feedback to support your professional growth and enhance our legal team’s expertise.
About you:
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a qualified Solicitor (minimum 8 years’ post-admission experience) or Barrister with expertise in contentious landlord and tenant matters. You’ll be confident working independently, adept at managing relationships at all levels, and able to deliver high-quality results under pressure. Your skills in networking, negotiation, and influencing will allow you to support colleagues effectively, and your ability to explain complex legal issues in clear terms will make you a trusted advisor within the organisation.
Key skills and experience:
* Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales with a current practising certificate or Barrister called to the Bar (minimum 8 years post-qualification).
* Proven expertise in housing management, anti-social behaviour, property litigation, including residential landlord/tenant law.
* Comprehensive knowledge of civil procedure rules, residential landlord and tenant law, and contract law.
* Strong networking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to communicate clearly across a wide variety of audiences.
* Experience managing relationships with senior leaders, producing high-quality written and verbal reports, and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
