Job Advertisement: Residential Childcare Worker
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 8am–11pm shifts, plus 2–3 sleep-ins per week

We are seeking a committed Residential Childcare Worker to join our team in Wisbech. You will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people with complex needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting relationships with children and young people in your care.
Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs.
Assist with day-to-day activities, including education, meals, and recreational activities.
Maintain a safe and clean living environment.
Support young people in developing essential life skills.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to all safeguarding and care regulations.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years or older (due to OFSTED regulations).
Previous experience in childcare, youth work, or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
A caring and empathetic nature with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Flexibility to work long shifts (8am–11pm) and undertake sleep-ins 2–3 times per week.
A full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
A willingness to undergo training, including safeguarding and therapeutic approaches.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
