About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Corporate Finance Accountant to join our Development Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key position within the team, responsible for providing comprehensive management accounting services to the open market division of our Development Directorate.
You will be pivotal in the day-to-day operations of the Development Finance team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly KPIs, performance reporting to the Development New Homes Group, and quarterly performance reports to the Development Committee. A key part of your role will also be the preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with auditors as necessary.
In addition, you will play an integral role in the production of the annual business plan process for the Development Directorate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the daily operations of the Development Finance team.
2. Provide management accounting services, including monthly KPIs and performance reporting.
3. Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
4. Contribute to the annual business plan for the open market division.
5. Deliver clear financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented individual. The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and experience:
1. Customer-focused approach with a commitment to improving customer satisfaction.
2. Strong accounting systems experience, with the ability to manipulate and use complex systems.
3. Statutory accounts preparation experience.
4. Experience in report writing and presenting financial information to non-financial audiences.
5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
6. Ability to prioritise, delegate, and manage tasks effectively under pressure.
7. Hold a relevant finance/accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be qualified by experience.
8. A positive, proactive attitude with a 'can do' approach.
9. Educated to degree level (Desirable).
10. Evidence of continuing professional development.
