We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with expertise in Xero to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who has a passion for numbers and a track record of maintaining accurate financial records.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
* Working on payroll and managing invoices.
* Reconciling bank accounts and conducting regular ledger checks.
* Utilising Xero accounting software for financial reporting and management.
* Preparing VAT returns and understanding financial regulations and legislation.
* Collaborating with the accounting team to support various tasks, including end-of-year accounts preparation.
* Assisting with budget preparation and cash flow forecasts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven bookkeeping experience.
* Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications are desirable.
